This study presents the results of the review of taxpayer compliance with reporting requirements and exclusively focuses on unreported tax by taxpayers registered with the Washington State Department of Revenue (Department). This study does not include businesses that are unregistered, or are registered, but are not filing tax returns.

Compliance studies This study focuses exclusively on taxpayers registered with the Washington State Department of Revenue. Using the results of a stratified random sample of audits, this report estimates taxpayer noncompliance for state taxes included on the Department's combined excise tax return.
